Boogie Ellis Impresses in Sacramento Kings’ Preseason Match Against Golden State Warriors
Boogie Ellis, the undrafted rookie guard for the Sacramento Kings, has been making significant impressions in the team’s preseason games. In the recent matchup against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, Ellis contributed notably to the Kings’ effort despite the team’s 109-106 loss.
Ellis led the Kings’ bench players with 11 points, shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point range. His performance was one of the highlights for the Kings, who are dealing with several key injuries that have limited the playing time of starters like DeMar DeRozan, De'Aaron Fox, and Domantas Sabonis.
Ellis’s standout performance was not isolated to this single game. He and fellow undrafted rookie Isaac Jones have been turning heads with their skills during the preseason. Coach Mike Brown has been giving these young players more opportunities to showcase their abilities, especially given the current injury situation of the team.
Ellis’s presence was also marked by the attendance of Filipino basketball legend and Kings assistant coach Jimmy Alapag, who was at the game supporting the Fil-Am players, including Ellis.
