CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Brad Keselowski is experiencing one of the toughest seasons of his career in the NASCAR Cup Series. After 10 races in the 2025 season, the RFK Racing owner and driver currently sits 32nd in points with no top-10 finishes and an average finish of 26.1, which would be the worst of his Hall of Fame-worthy history.

This season has been marked by challenges for Keselowski, including only two lead-lap finishes and a struggle to complete races. Notably, his average running position is 23.7, and he has spent just 28.4% of races inside the top 15. Compared to his teammates, who are in playoff contention, Keselowski’s performance has been disappointing.

“The speed simply has not been there for the No. 6,” he admitted following a pit road incident at Talladega, a track where he usually excels. The franchise seems a notch slower than in previous years, but there are factors at play, such as recent crew chief changes.

Keselowski’s 2024 season was considerably better, featuring a win and a finish that placed him 13th in points. However, with Jeremy Bullins taking over as crew chief this year, many wonder if the change will yield positive results. Bullins and Keselowski had previously worked together when Keselowski had one of his most successful seasons in 2020.

Despite the current struggles, many believe Keselowski’s career is far from over. At 41, he still has potential for a strong performance in the coming years. “Most drivers don’t decline until after around age 43,” an analyst noted. The possibility of further exploring team dynamics, including a potential switch to a more compatible crew chief, is also on the table.

If performance does not improve soon, a crew chief change for the No. 6 team may be necessary. Should this happen, there is a solid candidate waiting, as former championship crew chief Rodney Childers is available.

Keselowski remains 83 points below the playoff cut line, but the remaining 16 races this season present an opportunity for redemption. A crew chief change could spark improved results leading towards a playoff spot. Only time will tell if changes are on the horizon for Keselowski as the season progresses.
