Braelon Allen, the 20-year-old running back for the New York Jets, has been making significant strides in the NFL, particularly in recent games. Drafted in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft from the University of Wisconsin, Allen has quickly become a notable figure in the Jets’ offense.

In a recent game against the Denver Broncos, Allen outperformed his teammate Breece Hall, turning 14 touches into 68 yards. This performance highlighted his potential as a power back with speed, capable of breaking through defenses and gaining substantial yards after contact.

Despite a tough outing in Week 5 against the Minnesota Vikings, where Allen rushed for only 13 yards on five carries and caught one pass for 15 yards, he is expected to see more action in upcoming games. The Jets are likely to lean on their ground game, especially against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6, a matchup that could favor Allen’s running style. The Bills have allowed the sixth-highest explosive run rate and the seventh-most rushing yards per game, making it an opportune time for Allen to bounce back.

Allen’s statistics so far this season include 32 carries for 143 yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry, and one touchdown. He has also shown his ability to force missed tackles and gain yards after contact, ranking 18th among qualifying backs in missed tackles forced per attempt and sixth in yards after contact per attempt.
