Brett Favre on Election Cycle and Trump Rally: ‘It’s Certainly Sad to See So Much Hate’
Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre has expressed his concerns about the current election cycle, highlighting the unprecedented level of hate he has observed. In a recent social media post, Favre wrote, “In all the elections I’ve seen over my lifetime, I’ve never seen one where there was so much hate. It’s certainly sad to see.”
Favre is set to appear at a campaign rally for former President Donald Trump on Wednesday at the Resch Center in Green Bay. This event is part of Trump’s ongoing campaign activities in Wisconsin, a state he has visited multiple times this month. The rally is scheduled for 6 p.m., and road closures are expected in the area starting at 10 a.m. to accommodate Trump’s motorcade and the crowd.
Favre has been a staunch supporter of Trump, endorsing him in the 2020 presidential election. He has praised Trump for his stance on freedom of speech, gun rights, and support for the military and police. Favre believes that the country was in a better state under Trump’s presidency, stating, “I think our country was in better shape with him.”
Meanwhile, other political figures are also active in the region. Vice President Kamala Harris will host a rally on the UW-Madison campus at 5:30 p.m. on the same day, and former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to appear in the Fox Valley on Halloween in support of the Harris-Walz campaign.
