Denver Broncos 2025 Nfl Draft Prospects

DENVER, Colo. — After a lopsided playoff defeat, the Denver Broncos are shifting their focus to the 2025 NFL draft, aiming to add dynamic playmakers to address critical roster needs. With the 20th overall pick, the team is expected to target a pass-catching tight end or a versatile running back to bolster their offense.

The Broncos’ playoff loss underscored the need for reinforcements, particularly in the backfield and at tight end. General Manager George Paton is tasked with finding a game-changing talent to complement rookie quarterback Bo Nix. However, the team faces challenges, as top prospects like running back Ashton Jeanty and tight end Tyler Warren may be out of reach by the time Denver is on the clock.

NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah ranked Jeanty, a standout from Boise State, as a top-three prospect, praising his strength, balance, and vision. “Jeanty is a fun player to study. He is a short, compact runner with incredible strength, balance, and burst,” Jeremiah wrote. Despite Jeanty’s potential, the Broncos may need to pivot to other options, such as UNC’s Omarion Hampton or Ohio State’s Quinshon Judkins, who are ranked 29th and 34th, respectively.

At tight end, Penn State’s Tyler Warren is a coveted prospect, ranked fifth overall by Jeremiah. Warren, compared to Rob Gronkowski, is a versatile weapon who could fill a critical role in Sean Payton‘s offense. However, his rising draft stock, fueled by the success of rookie tight end Brock Bowers, may push him out of Denver’s reach. Michigan’s Colston Loveland, another top-10 prospect, offers similar playmaking ability but is also unlikely to fall to the Broncos at No. 20.

The Broncos’ need for a dynamic running back is amplified by the expiring contract of starter Javonte Williams and the team’s lackluster rushing performance in 2024. With only 1,423 rushing yards and eight touchdowns last season, Denver is desperate for an upgrade. “Jeanty is going to go in the first round,” ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. said. “He’s a top-10 prospect with incredible elusiveness.”

While the Broncos’ draft strategy remains fluid, one thing is clear: the team must address its offensive deficiencies to build around Nix. Whether through the draft or free agency, Denver’s front office faces a pivotal offseason to ensure the team remains competitive in the AFC West.
