Brooke Rose Reflects on Knicks’ Heartbreaking Playoff Journey

NEW YORK, NY — The New York Knicks‘ playoff journey may have ended, but Brooke Rose believes the story isn’t over. Following the team’s loss in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, the daughter of Knicks president Leon Rose shared a heartfelt recap on Instagram, spotlighting the team’s memorable postseason moments.
Brooke captioned her video, “This chapter might have ended, but the story is far from over.. beyond proud of this team. truly something special,” emphasizing the pride she felt for the Knicks’ performance this season.
The video featured thrilling celebrations from Madison Square Garden and highlights of the Knicks’ victories against the Pistons and Celtics, marking their first conference finals appearance since 2000.
During the playoffs, the Knicks faced the Indiana Pacers in a challenging series. They opened with a close game at Madison Square Garden, where they lost in overtime, 138-135. After falling into a two-game hole, the Knicks came back to secure their first win in Game 3, 106-100, showcasing their resilience.
Despite a solid victory in Game 5, the Knicks struggled in the second half of Game 6, ultimately ending their season with a 125-108 defeat. Team captain Jalen Brunson reflected on the ups and downs, stating, “There were stretches where we played very good defense and stretches where we didn’t. Once we dig into it… Probably both.”
Brunson remains confident in his teammates, adding, “There’s not an ounce of any type of doubt that I’m not confident with this group. We have a lot of guys that just genuinely want to work hard to be better.”
This season, the Knicks welcomed new players Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges, with Towns arriving in New York after a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bridges joining through a deal with the Brooklyn Nets. Looking ahead, Brunson believes in their potential to improve as a team.
