Brooklyn Nets Vs Memphis Grizzlies Injury Report

The Brooklyn Nets are preparing to face the Memphis Grizzlies on October 30, 2024, but they will be doing so with a significantly depleted roster. Nic Claxton, who recently posted an impressive 16-2-12 game, has been ruled out due to a left hamstring injury, an issue that also caused him to miss all of Brooklyn’s preseason games.

In addition to Claxton, the Nets will be without Trendon Watford (hamstring), Day'Ron Sharpe (hamstring), and Bojan Bogdanovic (foot). Dariq Whitehead is also out as he has been assigned to the G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets. This leaves head coach Jordi Fernandez with the task of getting creative with his rotations to compensate for the absence of his injured big men.

On the Memphis side, the Grizzlies are dealing with their own set of injuries. GG Jackson (right fifth metatarsal), Luke Kennard (left foot), Cam Spencer (right ankle), and Vince Williams Jr. (left tibial) are all out. Key players Zach Edey (right calf), Jon Konchar (right posterior tibial), and Ja Morant (right thigh) are listed as questionable, which could significantly impact the Grizzlies’ performance, especially in the backcourt.

The game, scheduled for 8:00 PM ET at the FedExForum, will be a test for both teams as they navigate through their respective injury issues. The Nets’ strong backcourt, led by Cam Thomas and Dennis Schröder, will face off against the Grizzlies’ depleted but still potent lineup, potentially including Desmond Bane and Ja Morant if he is cleared to play.
