Bruins Aim to End Losing Streak Against Hurricanes Saturday Night

BOSTON, Mass. — The Boston Bruins are looking to halt a month-long losing streak as they prepare to face the Carolina Hurricanes Saturday evening at TD Garden. The puck drops at 7 p.m. ET, following an hour of pregame coverage.
Interim head coach Joe Sacco announced that Fraser Minten will join the lineup as the team aims for a much-needed victory. Minten’s recent performance in Providence has impressed coaches, prompting this opportunity for him to contribute at the NHL level.
“The reports that we got from Providence were that he’s been a very reliable, smart player,” Sacco said. “He’s been playing well down there, and it’s an opportunity for the organization to get a look at him.”
Minten will play on the third line alongside Murat Khusnutdinov and Vinni Lettieri, while other lineup adjustments include Elias Lindholm, who will move up to the first line to skate with Morgan Geekie and David Pastrnak. Pavel Zacha will shift to the second line to join Fabian Lysell and Casey Mittlestadt.
Boston’s starting goalie for the game will be Jeremy Swayman, who has been a key player throughout the season. The team holds a record of 30-37-9 as they look to turn around their luck against the Hurricanes, who have a successful 46-25-4 season so far.
The Hurricanes boast a strong roster, featuring players such as Sebastian Aho, Jackson Blake, and Jaccob Slavin. The Bruins will need to be at their best to compete against Carolina’s depth and skill.
Fans are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting matchup as the Bruins seek to revive their season with a win over a formidable opponent.
