Bubba Wallace Voices Frustration After On-Track Incidents at Homestead

HOMESTEAD, Fla. — Bubba Wallace expressed his frustration after a heated Stage 1 at the NASCAR race on Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Wallace, driving for 23XI Racing, was running in 10th place as he headed into the final lap of the stage when an incident involving Joey Logano disrupted his momentum.
Logano, who had been racing close behind Wallace, got loose and made contact, sending Wallace up the racetrack. “Let’s see if we can get used up any f***ing more,” Wallace vented over his team radio, clearly upset with the situation.
Prior to the incident with Logano, Wallace also had a run-in with Austin Cindric during the same stage. As they approached Turn 2, Wallace attempted to clear Cindric but was blocked. The two cars raced side-by-side down the backstretch, where Wallace gave Cindric a bump to show his displeasure. Kevin Harvick, commenting on the broadcast for FOX, noted, “He’s frustrated. That’s what happens at this racetrack. You get extremely frustrated with a guy that’s right up against the wall, riding on your quarter panel when you’re trying to finish the pass.”
Wallace’s frustration stems from a rocky start to the 2025 season. While he finished ninth at Atlanta, he has struggled with four recent finishes of 20th or worse. However, as the race progressed, he found himself in a stronger position heading into Stage 3, poised to start fourth. His No. 23 Toyota has shown impressive speed, but he faces stiff competition from drivers like Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, and Denny Hamlin, who will also be vying for position.
Despite the setbacks earlier in the race, securing a top 10 finish remains a goal for Wallace as the season unfolds. Even if he does not make it to Victory Lane this time, improving his standings could provide the momentum needed for future races.
