Bucks Overcome Hawks in Thrilling 127-121 Victory

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Atlanta Hawks 127-121 on Tuesday, showcasing a late-game surge that solidified their offensive dominance. Despite a valiant effort from the Hawks, the Bucks overpowered them in the final moments of the game.
With just 5:30 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Hawks had taken the lead, only to see the Bucks respond with an 11-2 run that shifted the momentum in Milwaukee’s favor. Kevin Porter Jr. led the Bucks’ second unit with a strong performance, contributing 15 points while shooting 6-of-7 from the field. “We are seeing a lot of growth in his game,” said Bucks teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo. “It’s crazy to say, but he’s getting better every day.”
Antetokounmpo himself had a stellar outing, recording a triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. He continues to demonstrate versatility, showing improvement in his mid-range shooting as well. This season, he is averaging 30.8 points per game with an impressive 60.4 percent field goal percentage, a historic achievement for any NBA player.
The Hawks had commendable individual performances, with star guard Trae Young leading the team with 28 points and 13 assists. Backup Caris LeVert added 21 points, while Dyson Daniels recorded 16 points and nine rebounds. Despite their offensive efforts—shooting 46 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range—missed opportunities prevented Atlanta from closing the game.
“We fought hard, but we didn’t capitalize in crucial moments,” Hawks forward Terance Mann admitted following the loss. The team fell to 28-34 with the defeat.
The absence of head coach Quin Snyder, who missed the game due to illness, forced assistant Igor Kokoskov to step in. The Hawks struggled defensively, allowing the Bucks to shoot 51 percent from the floor and 30 percent from behind the arc. The Bucks’ efficiency inside the paint (64 percent) contrasted sharply with the Hawks’ 50 percent shooting in the same area.
As the game intensified in the closing moments, the Bucks took control, leaving Atlanta to rue missed opportunities. With momentum on their side, Milwaukee remains positioned for a playoff push, while the Hawks seek to regroup as they prepare for their next matchup against the Indiana Pacers.
