Buffalo Bills Nfl Draft 2025 Jordan Hancock

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Buffalo Bills selected cornerback Jordan Hancock from Ohio State in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday. Hancock was the 170th overall pick and is notable for his significant contributions to the Buckeyes, especially during their national championship-winning season in 2024.

Over his four seasons at Ohio State, Hancock recorded impressive stats, including 98 tackles, 2.5 sacks, three interceptions, and 14 pass breakups. His versatility on the field allows him to play multiple positions, including cornerback and safety, a trait that former defensive coordinators praised.

“Jordan’s versatility is key for any defense,” said a former coach. “He fits any scheme, whether it’s a traditional nickel or being lined up outside.” Hancock’s standout performance came in a 21-17 victory over Nebraska, where he tallied five tackles and an interception while filling in for an injured teammate. He played 172 snaps in that game alone.

The Bills used their compensatory fifth-round pick to secure Hancock, making him the fifth defensive player selected by the team this draft weekend. He joins another cornerback drafted earlier, who is also considered a strong addition to the Bills’ roster.

Hancock, standing at 6-foot and coming off a solid performance at the NFL Combine with a 4.42-second 40-yard dash and a 41.5-inch vertical jump, is expected to bolster the Bills’ defense as they prepare for the upcoming season.
