Buffalo Bills Sign WR Laviska Shenault Amid Free Agency Frenzy

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills have bolstered their receiving corps by signing wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. According to his agents, the 26-year-old receiver has agreed to terms, adding to the depth of the team following the recent 2025 NFL free agency period.
Shenault, a second-round draft pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020, played a combined 12 games last season for the Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks. He recorded five receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown while also demonstrating his explosiveness on special teams with a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against the Seahawks.
Throughout his professional career, Shenault has tallied 163 receptions for 1,587 yards and six touchdowns. The Bills’ addition comes as they aim to enhance their offense by pairing Shenault with key returning players like Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Curtis Samuel, along with newly acquired Josh Palmer.
The Bills, coming off a successful 2024 season where they captured the AFC East title, are looking to make further improvements as they prepare for the upcoming season.
“It’s exciting to be part of a team with such talent and ambitions. I can’t wait to get to work with Josh and the rest of the guys,” Shenault said in a statement.
His signing marks a shift in the Bills’ strategy as they capitalize on the increased salary cap of $279.2 million for the 2025 season, allowing them to make impactful roster moves. This year’s cap increase also provides teams with the flexibility they need to sign free agents and improve their rosters heading into the offseason.
With the signing of Shenault, the Bills are sending a clear message to their fans: they are committed to building a championship-caliber team. As free agency continues to unfold, eyes remain on the Bills for additional moves aimed at solidifying their position in the rapidly evolving NFL landscape.
