Bukayo Saka Returns To Form With Goal As Arsenal Beat Nottingham Forest

Arsenal‘s Bukayo Saka silenced his critics with a goal in the victory against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 22 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL). Saka had faced scrutiny for his recent poor form, with only one goal contribution in his last six matches. However, he answered his critics by finding the back of the net in the 72nd minute. Despite not having any big chances, Saka’s six attempts helped him secure three bonus points and reach double-digit FPL returns once again.

Nottingham Forest’s late consolation goal by Taiwo Awoniyi denied Arsenal a clean sheet, but Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko still managed to pick up bonus points for their contributions. Meanwhile, Gabriel’s return from injury resulted in just two points for FPL managers. Arsenal’s strong defensive record remains intact, with the team leading in preventing big chances and shots on target. However, upcoming matches against Liverpool and West Ham United pose a challenge to their defensive prowess.

In the simultaneous match between Luton Town and Brighton and Hove Albion, Luton delivered a stunning 4-0 victory. Elijah Adebayo impressed with an early goal, scoring just 18 seconds into the match. Chiedozie Ogbene and Adebayo added two more goals in the first half, leaving Brighton struggling to find their footing in the game.

The usually attack-minded Brighton had entered Gameweek 22 with two consecutive goalless draws. However, their lackluster performance continued as they failed to make an impact in the match, resulting in their third consecutive goalless game. Adebayo completed his hat-trick before the hour mark, further highlighting his recent impressive form with six goals in the last seven matches.

FPL managers may consider adding Adebayo to their squad for squad depth, especially as Luton Town has upcoming matches against Sheffield United and a potential Double Gameweek against Bournemouth. Brighton will look to bounce back from their defeat in the next match against Crystal Palace, a crucial opportunity to put this disappointing performance behind them.
