Bulldogs Sign Lachlan Galvin, Keano Kini Extends with Titans

SYDNEY, Australia — The Canterbury Bulldogs have signed former Wests Tigers five-eighth Lachlan Galvin. The 19-year-old will join the Bulldogs effective immediately and has signed a contract until the end of the 2028 season.
Galvin’s move follows his mutual agreement with the Tigers to end his playing contract earlier Friday. Since making his NRL debut in Round 2 of 2024, he has played 31 games and recorded 24 try assists, averaging over 120 running meters per game.
Meanwhile, the Gold Coast Titans announced today that Kiwis fullback Keano Kini has signed a contract extension through the end of the 2030 season. The reigning Paul Broughton Medallist earned this honor after an impressive 2024 season as the club’s starting fullback.
At only 21 years old, Kini previously attended Palm Beach Currumbin State High School and has successfully navigated through the Titans’ pathways, debuting in 2023. Titans management expressed their commitment to player development with this extension.
In further contract news, the Canberra Raiders have secured Noah Martin, a young talent who recently made his NRL debut. The Raiders extended his contract for another two years, keeping him in Canberra until the end of the 2028 season. “I’m just keen to keep on ripping in with the boys and see where the next three years take me,” said Martin.
Additionally, the Parramatta Eels have activated an option to keep Josh Addo-Carr with the team through 2026. General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill praised Addo-Carr’s contributions to the team’s environment, highlighting his impactful presence among younger players.
Other notable signings include Tony Sukkar extending his contract with the Wests Tigers until 2026 and promising forward Josiah Pahulu joining the Melbourne Storm on a two-year deal after his release from the Titans. The Storm’s Football Manager Frank Ponissi expressed confidence in Pahulu’s potential impact.
Brandon Smith, a Kiwis hooker previously with the Roosters, is also set to make his return to the Rabbitohs after suffering an ACL injury. He will begin training with the Rabbitohs this week.
The influx of new talent and contract extensions reveals a busy off-season in the NRL as teams prepare for the upcoming seasons.
