Mckay Madsen All American Bowl 2025 Announcement

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — McKay Madsen, a highly sought-after athlete from Clovis, California, will announce his college decision at the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl on Saturday, January 11. The event will take place at the Alamodome, with the announcement broadcast live on KSL 5 TV in Salt Lake City and NBC affiliates nationwide.

Madsen, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound standout, is considering BYU, Oregon, and UCLA as his final choices. He is ranked as the 197th overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class by 247Sports and is viewed as a versatile player who could excel as either a linebacker or running back at the collegiate level.

Madsen received an offer from BYU in April 2024 and has since visited the Provo campus multiple times, including official visits during the Southern Illinois and Kansas games. Despite BYU’s efforts, recruiting analysts predict Madsen will commit to the Oregon Ducks.

“All three of the schools are amazing,” Madsen told 247Sports. “I can’t go wrong with any of my schools in my decision. The hardest part is saying no to two schools.”

Madsen is one of five players scheduled to announce their commitments during the All-American Bowl. The event, which kicks off at 11 a.m. MST, is one of the most prestigious high school football showcases in the nation, featuring top recruits and future NFL stars.

In addition to his football prowess, Madsen has excelled in track and field, competing in shot put and discus. He is also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and plans to serve a two-year mission before beginning his college football career.

The All-American Bowl has a storied history, with 594 NFL draft picks, 93 Super Bowl champions, and 18 Heisman finalists among its alumni. This year’s event continues the tradition of showcasing the nation’s top high school talent.
