Caitlin Clark Wnba Game

Caitlin Clark is making headlines in the WNBA again! This time, she took the court for the Indiana Fever against the Seattle Storm and not only led her team to a solid 92-75 victory, but she also set a new record.

In the game, Clark scored 23 points and made history by tallying her 225th assist, which means she has now set the record for the most assists by a rookie in WNBA history. This record was previously held by the legendary Ticha Penicheiro, who set it back in 1998.

After the game, Clark couldn’t hide her excitement. She expressed her gratitude for breaking such an iconic record, saying, “To pass someone like her, I’m just forever thankful. She’s been such a legend in our game.” She is currently leading the league with an impressive average of 8.3 assists per game.

The notable record-breaking assist happened in the second quarter when Clark assisted Lexie Hull for a layup. Hull also had a great game, contributing 22 points to the win.

The Fever showed strong performance throughout the match, shooting 46.6% from the field compared to the Storm’s 38.9%. They also dominated in rebounds and assists, truly showcasing their team effort.

Clark’s stellar play has been a major boost for the Fever, who started the season slowly at 1-8 but have since turned things around, winning four of their last five games. Their current record stands at 13-15, placing them in the No. 7 spot in the standings.

If Clark keeps up her current pace, she might even break the single-season assist record of 316, set by Alyssa Thomas last year. If everything goes well, she could finish the season with a whopping 381 assists!

The Fever’s next challenge is coming up as they are set to face the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday night. Fans are excited to see what Clark will do next!
