Calum Fyfe Leads Danish Golf Challenge Into Final Round

Bogense, Denmark – Calum Fyfe has extended his lead in the Danish Golf Challenge, finishing the third round with a score of four under par 68. This performance secures him a three-stroke advantage going into the final round of the tournament.
Fyfe, a 27-year-old golfer from Scotland, started the day with a two-shot lead over Sweden’s Per Längfors. His third round featured five birdies and just one bogey, bringing his tournament total to 17 under par.
“Back home I’ve been through a lot, I lost my mum a couple of weeks ago and I feel like she’s helped me out there a couple of times I’ve hit bad shots,” Fyfe said. “I always knew I had the game to compete here; it was just about doing it.”
Jonathan Gøth-Rasmussen of Denmark, with a six under par 66, trails Fyfe by three shots. Fyfe’s round included gains on the second and ninth holes, and he birdied both the 11th and 12th holes. Although he dropped a shot on the par three 15th, he quickly recovered with a birdie on 16.
“I knew if I made bogeys then the guys were going to catch me,” Fyfe said about his strategy. “My plan was to go for it while not taking silly risks. I played well and I would’ve taken it at the start of the day.”
On a standout day, Christofer Blomstrand from Sweden set a course record with a ten under par 62, while Ireland’s Liam Nolan finished with a seven under 65.
Following Fyfe and Gøth-Rasmussen on the leaderboard are Blomstrand and Dutchman Lars van Meijel, both sitting at 14 under par. Czech golfer Filip Mruzek and Längfors follow at 11 under.
The final round of the Danish Golf Challenge is scheduled for tomorrow, beginning at 07:45 AM, with Fyfe teeing off in the last group at 09:45 AM.
