Cam Jordan Sparks Debate by Declaring Drew Brees the Greatest Quarterback of All Time
Cam Jordan, the defensive end for the New Orleans Saints, has ignited a heated debate in the NFL community by asserting that Drew Brees is the greatest quarterback of all time. Jordan shared his opinion during an appearance on the St. Brown Podcast, where he highlighted Brees’ impressive career statistics and achievements.
Jordan emphasized Brees’ unparalleled completion percentage and the numerous records he held before his retirement in 2021. He also acknowledged Tom Brady‘s accomplishments but argued that Brees’ consistent performance over his career makes him the best. “If you’re talking about accomplishments, yes, Brady. But if you want to look at the guy who was patting his back because he’s got the most 4,000-yard seasons, that’s Drew,” Jordan said.
Jordan’s perspective is likely influenced by his time playing alongside Brees from 2011 until Brees’ retirement. He praised Brees and the Saints organization, expressing his gratitude for being part of the team that drafted him. Jordan also reflected on the support he has received from the organization and the city of New Orleans, indicating a strong bond that may see him follow in his father’s footsteps by retiring with a single team, just like his father Steve Jordan did with the Minnesota Vikings.
In addition to his comments on Brees, Jordan has been making headlines for his on-field performance. The Saints, currently holding a 2-3 record, are gearing up for their next challenge against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jordan recently made a significant impact with an interception, highlighting his continued importance to the Saints’ defense.
