Canadiens Host Bruins in Epic RadioTélédON Showdown at Bell Centre

MONTREAL, Canada – The Montreal Canadiens are set to reignite their historic rivalry with the Boston Bruins during RadioTélédON night at the Bell Centre on Thursday, April 3, 2025. This is the first meeting in Montreal for the teams this season, and anticipation is high as they take the ice for a spirited contest.
The game starts at 7:00 p.m. ET and fans can tune in via TSN2 and RDS or listen on TSN 690 and 98.5 FM. Tickets for the matchup are still available.
The 16th edition of RadioTélédON is designed to boost support for the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, which works to foster healthy lifestyles among disadvantaged youth throughout Quebec.
Fans can participate in the fundraising effort by texting ‘HABS’ to 45678 for a $10 donation. This initiative aligns with the Canadiens’ commitment to give back to the community while celebrating hockey.
After an impressive 3-2 comeback victory against the Florida Panthers earlier this week, with Captain Nick Suzuki leading the way, the Canadiens are looking to maintain their momentum. This victory secured them the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. “We’ve shown our resilience,” Suzuki said post-game. “We need to keep pushing forward.”
Currently, the Canadiens are tied with the New York Rangers for the final playoff spot, although they hold the tie-breaker advantage based on fewer games played.
In contrast, the Bruins have experienced a downward trend throughout 2025, now sitting below .500 after a series of losses. They come into the Bell Centre with a dismal 11-23-3 record on the road and are on a nine-game losing streak, indicating a challenging season. “We’re in a rebuilding phase,” said a frustrated Bruins fan. “But every time we face Montreal, anything can happen.”
The season series thus far has seen Boston dominate the Canadiens, winning the first two matchups decisively, with scores of 6-4 and 6-3. The Canadiens seek redemption on their home ice after being outscored 12-7 in the earlier encounters.
Players to watch include Morgan Geekie, whose 27 goals this season have marked a career high for the Bruins, and the Canadiens’ Lane Hutson and Suzuki, pivotal in the team’s recent successes. Hutson boasts impressive stats, including leading in assists with 57 and a notable +/- differential of +12.
Stats heading into tonight’s game show the disparity between the two teams: the Canadiens are averaging 3.29 goals per game, while the Bruins are struggling at 2.61. In overall standings, Montreal currently stands at 35-30-9, whereas Boston sits at 30-36-9.
The Canadiens will host their morning skate at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Fans can stay updated on lineup news via @CanadiensMTL on social media, as they finalize details prior to the game.
