Cannes Film Festival 2025 Movie Lineup

CANNES, France – The Cannes Film Festival has announced several new titles for its official selection ahead of the 2025 edition, set to run from May 13-24. Key highlights include Lynne Ramsay‘s highly anticipated thriller “Die, My Love,” starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, which will compete in the main competition.

“Die, My Love” is based on Ariana Harwicz’s debut novel and tells the story of a woman, played by Lawrence, who struggles with love and madness after giving birth. Ramsay’s film marks her return to Cannes for the first time since her 2017 hit “You Were Never Really Here,” which won Best Screenplay.

Kristen Stewart’s directorial debut, “The Chronology of Water,” is also set to screen in the Un Certain Regard section. The film features Imogen Poots and traces the journey of a woman finding redemption through swimming after a traumatic past.

Joining them in the competition is Saeed Roustaee’s “Woman and Child,” a film about familial dynamics that previously saw success at the festival in 2022 with “Leila’s Brothers.”

The festival’s Midnight section will showcase Ethan Coen‘s “Honey Don’t!,” a road trip film starring Aubrey Plaza and Chris Evans.

Ramsay will be one of seven women directors competing this year, marking a record number for Cannes. The festival’s lineup also features films from renowned directors such as Wes Anderson, Spike Lee, and Kelly Reichardt.

With a mix of established and emerging talent, this year’s lineup promises to be both diverse and captivating, as film enthusiasts eagerly await the glitz and glamour of the red carpet.
