Born in Huelva, Andalusia, in 1993, Carolina initially pursued her passion for flamenco dancing, greatly influenced by her mother, who was a flamenco dancer. But everything changed for her when she discovered badminton at the age of eight through a schoolmate.

Carolina’s love for badminton grew quickly, and to take her skills to the next level, she made a bold move. She relocated to Madrid at a young age to join the National Centre, where she could train rigorously under the guidance of coach Fernando Rivas.
