Carrie Underwood Sunday Night Football

Carrie Underwood has recently addressed the rumors surrounding her earnings from performing the Sunday Night Football theme song for NBC. Reports had surfaced suggesting that Underwood makes $1 million per week or approximately $18 million per season for her role in the NFL‘s Sunday Night Football intro song.

However, Underwood has clarified these figures during an interview with Howard Stern. She stated that the reported $18 million salary is not accurate, expressing her wish that it were true but confirming it is far from the actual amount.

Despite the clarification, Underwood has been a consistent presence in the Sunday Night Football openings for the past 11 seasons, performing a revamped version of the theme song “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” which is based on Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself for Loving You”.
