Cavaliers Aim to Extend Unbeaten Streak Against Struggling Bucks
The Cleveland Cavaliers, currently the only unbeaten team in the Eastern Conference, are set to face the Milwaukee Bucks for the second time in three days on Monday, November 4. The Cavaliers are riding a 7-0 start to the season, having stunned the Bucks with a dramatic 114-113 win in Milwaukee on Saturday, thanks to a last-second shot by Donovan Mitchell.
The Bucks, who have lost five consecutive games, will be without their superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been ruled out due to a right adductor strain. This will be the first game Antetokounmpo misses this season. The Bucks are also without Khris Middleton, who is recovering from ankle surgery, and Pat Connaughton, although Connaughton is listed as probable for the game.
The Cavaliers, meanwhile, may be without key players as well. Caris LeVert is listed as questionable with right knee soreness, and Dean Wade is questionable due to an illness. Additionally, Jaylon Tyson is out with a left hip sprain, and Max Strus remains out with a sprained ankle.
Cleveland‘s offense is led by Donovan Mitchell, who is averaging 24.4 points, 4.3 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. Point guard Darius Garland is also having a solid start, averaging 17.9 points, 6.3 assists, two rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game.
The Cavaliers are 7-point favorites in the latest odds, with the over/under for total points scored set at 230.5. The SportsLine Projection Model, which has a strong track record in NBA predictions, is leaning towards the under on the total points and suggests one side of the spread hits in over 60% of simulations.
The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM ET at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, with the Cavaliers aiming to match their best start in franchise history, which was an 8-0 record in the 1976-1977 season.
