Cleveland Cavaliers Vs Atlanta Hawks Nba Game 2025

CLEVELAND, OhioDonovan Mitchell scored 26 points, while Evan Mobley added 16 points and 10 rebounds, leading the NBA-leading Cleveland Cavaliers to a dominant 137-115 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The Cavaliers improved their league-best home record to 23-3 and extended their winning streak to three games.

Darius Garland contributed 24 points, and Caris LeVert added 20 points off the bench for Cleveland (39-9). Jarrett Allen chipped in with nine points and 15 rebounds. The Cavaliers built a 29-point lead, avenging two earlier losses to the Hawks this season.

Atlanta, led by rookie No. 1 draft pick Zaccharie Risacher‘s 30 points, suffered its seventh consecutive loss. De’Andre Hunter added 25 points, making all 12 of his free throws. Despite Trae Young‘s 15 points and 10 assists, the Hawks struggled to keep pace with Cleveland’s offensive firepower.

Garland ignited a key third-quarter run with a runner and back-to-back 3-pointers, extending Cleveland’s lead to 88-69. Mitchell capped the 10-1 surge with a layup, pushing the advantage to 90-70. The Cavaliers’ trio of All-Stars—Mitchell, Garland, and Mobley—marked the fourth time in franchise history that three players earned All-Star honors.

Hawks coach Kenny Atkinson, who previously served on Cleveland’s coaching staff, acknowledged the Cavaliers’ historic start but expressed disappointment that Allen was not selected as an All-Star. “Yes, just because of our record,” Atkinson said. “I thought that with our historic start, it could turn out that way. I am a little disappointed at that.”

Despite Allen’s integral role in Cleveland’s success, his inconsistent offensive performances and occasional absence in closing lineups likely contributed to his All-Star snub. Allen, who led the league in effective field goal percentage at 70.3%, has faced criticism for stretches of invisibility on offense.

The Cavaliers will continue their three-game homestand Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks, while the Hawks visit the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
