CeeDee Lamb’s Stats and Projections Ahead of Week 6 Matchup Against the Detroit Lions
CeeDee Lamb, the star wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, is gearing up for a crucial Week 6 matchup against the Detroit Lions. Despite a somewhat slower start to the 2024 season, Lamb remains one of the top receivers in the NFL.
This season, Lamb is averaging 8.2 targets, five receptions, and 75.6 receiving yards per game, which are down from his 2023 numbers of 10.6 targets, 7.9 receptions, and 102.9 receiving yards per game. Through five games, he has accumulated 25 catches for 378 yards and two touchdowns.
In his last outing against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lamb caught five passes for 62 yards and added one rush for two yards. His performance has been consistent but not as dominant as in the previous season, where he finished with 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Historically, Lamb has performed well against the Detroit Lions. Last season, he had a career-best game against them with 13 receptions for 227 yards and a touchdown. For Week 6, fantasy projections suggest he could have around 6-8 receptions, 85-109 yards, and 0.5 touchdowns.
The Lions’ secondary, led by cornerback Carlton Davis, will be tasked with containing Lamb. Detroit’s defensive coordinator, Aaron Glenn, emphasized the need for a team-wide effort to limit Lamb’s production, noting that it will be a significant challenge for the Lions’ defense.
