Boston Celtics Vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game Highlights

The Boston Celtics handed the Cleveland Cavaliers their first loss of the 2024-25 season, ending their unbeaten streak at 15 games with a 120-117 win on Tuesday night at TD Garden.

The Celtics, led by Jayson Tatum‘s impressive performance of 33 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists, managed to hold off a strong second-half charge from the Cavaliers. Boston’s hot shooting from 3-point range was a key factor, as they went 22-for-41 from deep, including a remarkable 14-of-22 in the first half.

Cleveland, despite their perfect start to the season, found themselves trailing by as many as 21 points in the game. However, they mounted a significant comeback in the second half, particularly in the paint, where they scored 22 points in the third quarter alone. The Cavaliers’ Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen were instrumental in this effort, with Mobley contributing 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Allen adding 10 points and 11 rebounds.

A crucial Payton Pritchard 3-pointer with 5:31 remaining helped the Celtics maintain their lead, ultimately securing the victory. This win marked a significant test for both teams, with the Celtics improving to 12-3 and the Cavaliers dropping to 15-1.
