Nba Pistons Vs Celtics Game Highlights

BOSTON — The Boston Celtics defeated the Detroit Pistons, ending Detroit’s winning streak at a franchise record-tying 13 games on Wednesday night. The Celtics overcame a 42-point effort from Cade Cunningham to secure the victory.

The Eastern Conference-leading Pistons had a chance to break their record, previously set by the teams from 1989-90 and 2003-04. Despite the loss, Detroit holds a strong record of 15-3, showing considerable improvement from their past seasons.

Jalen Brown led the Celtics with 33 points and 10 rebounds while Derrick White scored 27 points, with 11 of those coming in the final four and a half minutes of the game. The Celtics victory came despite their coach speaking to areas for improvement. “There were things that we could’ve done better, and we still put ourselves in position to have a shot at it at the end of the game,” said Pistons’ coach J.B. Bickerstaff.

In a crucial moment, Cunningham was fouled with the Pistons down by three points, leading to a review that confirmed he was in the act of shooting a three-pointer. He successfully made his first two free throws but missed the third attempt. When Boston secured the rebound, they converted two free throws to seal their victory with just 2.4 seconds remaining.

“We all wanted it tonight,” Cunningham said. “I’m not gonna act like it didn’t mean anything to us. It’s a big deal; we all wanted to be on that side of history, but it didn’t happen.”

Celtics’ player Payton Pritchard added 16 points to the team’s total, helping them win their fifth game in the last six outings.
