Charlotte Flair’s WWE Return Expected Sooner Than Later
Charlotte Flair, one of WWE‘s most decorated female superstars, is reportedly expected to return to the ring sooner than anticipated. Flair has been sidelined since December 2023 after suffering a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during a match. Despite initial expectations that she would miss the entire 2024 season, recent reports suggest her comeback may be imminent.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Wrestling Inc.), WWE talent and insiders believe Flair’s return is on the horizon, though no specific timetable has been confirmed. Many had speculated she would make a surprise appearance at the 2024 Royal Rumble, but no official plans have been announced. Flair has been training in recent months, signaling her readiness to step back into the spotlight.
Flair, a 14-time women’s world champion, is one of the most accomplished performers in WWE history. She made history alongside Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey as the first women to headline WrestleMania in 2019. Her absence has left a significant void in WWE’s women’s division, and fans are eagerly awaiting her return.
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently shared his vision for Flair’s character upon her return. Ray suggested that Flair embrace a darker, more villainous persona, drawing inspiration from iconic figures like Trinity from ‘The Matrix‘ and Masahiro Chono from New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
