The Chase's Jenny Ryan Shines In Unearthed Clip From Only Connect Appearance

The Chase‘s Jenny Ryan, famously known as The Vixen, showcased her remarkable knowledge on a past BBC show, as an old clip from her appearance on Only Connect has surfaced.

Before becoming a Chaser on The Chase in 2015, Jenny made her television debut on BBC’s Only Connect back in 2010, where she was part of a team called The Gamblers and emerged victorious on the show’s third series hosted by Victoria Coren Mitchell. In stark contrast to her Vixen persona, Jenny sported a different look with shorter, dark locks and square glasses during her time on Only Connect, highlighting her versatility.

Jenny’s journey in the world of quiz shows began with appearances on TV programs such as Mastermind, where her chosen specialist subject was Buffy the Vampire Slayer, showcasing her diverse range of expertise and passion for trivia. Her transition to becoming The Vixen on The Chase was further paved by her participation on shows like Are You an Egghead? and her contributions to quiz question writing for various programs including University Challenge and Fifteen to One.

It was The Chase’s host Bradley Walsh who christened Jenny with the moniker ‘The Vixen’ during her screen test for the show, inspired by her red hair resembling a fox’s tail. Jenny’s intelligence and quick-thinking also played a role in solidifying the name, symbolizing attributes associated with the cunning and clever nature of foxes.

Jenny’s journey from her early television appearances to becoming one of the formidable Chasers on ITV1‘s The Chase showcases her dedication to quizzing and her ability to adapt to different quiz show formats, captivating viewers with her vast knowledge and distinctive personality.
