Chelsea Poised To Secure Barcelona Striker Marc Guiu In Major Transfer Move

English Premier League giants Chelsea are on the brink of finalizing a significant transfer deal to acquire Barcelona‘s talented striker Marc Guiu in the upcoming summer transfer window. The latest reports suggest that Chelsea is in advanced negotiations to activate Guiu’s release clause of €6 million to secure his services.

According to renowned journalist Gerard Romero, Chelsea’s pursuit of Guiu is nearing completion, with the striker expected to bid farewell to Barcelona following his last appearance in the promotion play-off match. The move signifies a major shift for Guiu, who had been a part of Barcelona’s first team last season, showcasing his scoring prowess by netting two goals.

However, Guiu faced challenges in securing regular playing time as the season progressed, especially with the arrival of Vitor Roque, which ultimately led to his decision to seek new opportunities away from Camp Nou. With his contract set to expire in 2025 and no extension in sight, Guiu’s departure from Barcelona seems inevitable this summer.

Guiu’s potential move to Chelsea could also see him joined by fellow teammate Pau Victor, who is nearing the end of his loan spell at the club. The impending transfers mark a period of transition for Barcelona as they look to reshape their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
