Chennai Super Kings (CSK) made a steady start against Punjab Kings (PBKS) as stand-in skipper Sam Curran opted to bowl first after winning the toss at the IPL match in Dharamsala.

Curran led an unchanged PBKS Playing 11, while Ruturaj Gaikwad brought in spinner Mitchell Santner for CSK replacing Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who is away for national commitments. Seamer Tushar Deshpande also returned for CSK in place of Sameer Rizvi.

Chennai’s bowling resources for the match have been depleted, with Deepak Chahar ruled out due to injury and Rahman leaving for national duty. There is also uncertainty around Pathirana and Theekshana‘s availability after they left for visa procedures for the ICC T20 World Cup.

In the PBKS Playing 11 are Jonny Bairstow, Rilee Rossouw, Shashank Singh, Sam Curran, Jitesh Sharma, Ashutosh Sharma, Harpreet Brar, Harshal Patel, Rahul Chahar, Kagiso Rabada, and Arshdeep Singh. While the CSK Playing 11 includes players like Ajinkya Rahane, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Daryl Mitchell, Moeen Ali, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and others.

For the live telecast of the match, Star Sports will broadcast in various languages, with Jio Cinemas providing free live streaming in different languages, including Hindi and English.
