Chicago Fire FC Defender Carlos Terán Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery
Chicago Fire FC announced today that their defender, Carlos Terán, has undergone a successful surgery on his right knee. The surgery was performed by Chicago Fire FC Chief Medical Officer, Jason Koh, at Endeavor Health Orthopaedic & Spine Institute. Terán is expected to be out of action for four to six weeks.
As the team prepares for the upcoming 2024 season, Chicago Fire FC is currently conducting their preseason training camp in Bradenton, Fla. Following that, they will travel to California from February 15-17 to participate in the Coachella Valley Invitational.
The regular season for Chicago Fire FC, driven by Carvana, will kick off with an away game against the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park in Chester, PA on February 24. The following weekend, on March 2, the Fire will host FC Cincinnati, the winners of the 2023 MLS Supporters’ Shield, at Soldier Field. This match will mark the earliest home opener in Chicago Fire history, happening two days prior to the club’s 2023 opener.
