Chuck E. Cheese Announces Expansion Into Australia

Iconic US family entertainment restaurant chain Chuck E. Cheese has revealed its plans to expand into Australia. The brand, known for its “fun centres” that offer a combination of pizza, arcade games, and entertainment, has signed a strategic master franchise partnership with Royale Hospitality Group, the company behind Perth‘s popular entertainment venue Planet Royale.

Chuck E. Cheese International COO Mario Centola expressed his excitement stating, “We are thrilled to bring the magic of Chuck E. Cheese to Australia and to collaborate with the Royale Hospitality Group, a partner that shares our commitment to delivering exceptional family experiences.”

The move to expand into the Australian market comes after nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese restaurants have been successfully operating across 16 countries since its inception in San Jose, California, in 1977.

Managing director of Royale Hospitality, Ray Strauss, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “I am thrilled, along with my dedicated team, to embark on this exciting journey, taking Chuck E. Cheese to the next level throughout all of Australia. We look forward to crafting the Chuck E. Cheese brand for the Australian market.”

This expansion into Australia is part of Chuck E. Cheese’s global expansion strategy, with plans to enter new markets in Asia and Europe. The company has been remodeling its locations, enhancing its entertainment offerings, and expanding its licensing footprint to ensure a reimagined Chuck E. Cheese experience that combines pizza with interactive play and activities for kids and families.
