Fc Cincinnati Vs Toronto Fc May 2025

CINCINNATI, Ohio — FC Cincinnati will travel to Toronto, Ontario, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, to face Toronto FC as part of a busy road schedule. The team recently earned a 2-0 victory over Toronto in their previous meeting and is looking to maintain momentum heading into the match.

This match is the first of a three-game road trip for FC Cincinnati, which also includes games against Columbus Crew and Atlanta United. Head Coach Pat Noonan expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to manage the demanding schedule, noting that the team has experience playing multiple matches within a week.

“The previous experiences can help us, but it’s how you utilize it in the moment,” Noonan said during a press conference on Monday. “When you go Saturday, Wednesday, there’s enough time in between to recover. But the most challenging part is the turnaround for the third game.”

Following a winning streak that was interrupted two weeks ago, Cincinnati is eager to replicate its recent success on the road. The team has won six of its last seven games, achieving a league-high three victories away from home.

“I thought we had a strong performance last time out,” Noonan added. “We can improve our efficiency in the final product and do a better job defending crosses.”

FC Cincinnati has dominated its matches against Toronto FC under Noonan, boasting a 6-0-1 record. Despite this success, Noonan emphasized the importance of not underestimating their opponents as they prepare for the match.

“We haven’t addressed the weekend yet. Our focus is on Toronto on Wednesday,” he stressed. “If anyone is thinking about the weekend, then Wednesday will be very challenging for us.”

The upcoming match will take place at BMO Field at 7:30 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the game via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

TORONTO, which currently sits at 13th in the Eastern Conference, is coming off its second win of the season against D.C. United. FC Cincinnati’s Noonan acknowledged that Toronto has made recent improvements in their play.

<p“Toronto looks different now after their recent results,” Noonan noted, highlighting the impact of star forward Lorenzo Insigne on the team’s offensive capabilities.

FC Cincinnati’s past success against Toronto FC, coupled with their current form, sets the stage for an exciting matchup.
