Ciro Immobile Returns to Bologna’s Squad After Three-Month Injury Layoff
Bologna, Italy – Ciro Immobile is back in Bologna’s lineup after recovering from an injury that kept him out for three months. The forward is set to play in the Coppa Italia match against Parma on December 4 at 6 p.m. at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
Immobile, who previously played as the captain for Lazio, suffered a thigh strain during the first minutes of the season opener against Roma. His return offers a boost to a Bologna team that recently faced a defeat against Cremonese in their last league match.
Head coach Vincenzo Italiano announced the squad for the upcoming match, including Immobile among the players called up. The complete list features goalkeepers Franceschelli, Pessina, and Ravaglia, along with defenders Casale, De Silvestri, Heggem, Holm, Lucumi, Lykogiannis, Miranda, and Zortea. The midfield includes Fabbian, Ferguson, Moro, Pobega, and Sulemana, with forwards such as Bernardeschi, Cambiaghi, Castro, Dallinga, Dominguez, Immobile, Odgaard, Orsolini, and Rowe.
The match against Parma marks an important moment for Bologna, as they aim for advancement in the Coppa Italia. Additionally, a potential return to the pitch against Lazio, Immobile’s former team, is on the horizon, scheduled for December 7.
