City TV Triumphs at Major Awards Ceremony Amidst Rivals

Bogotá, Colombia – On April 5, the Ciudad Amurallada hosted an awards ceremony celebrating excellence in television, where City TV emerged victorious in four categories. Among the notable winners was Lina Pulido, originally from Bosa, who took home the coveted ‘Best News Presenter’ award.
The event, held at Plaza de la Aduana, witnessed several television personalities rejoicing in their wins, including a victory for City TV’s ‘Best Variety Program’ and a recognition for its presenter as ‘Best Variety Presenter.’ These accolades reflect the network’s growing influence in Colombian media.
“For me, this is pure happiness. Holding my baby’s lucky shoe signifies all the dreams I’ve been able to achieve,” exclaimed Pulido during her acceptance speech. Just one year ago, she transitioned to City TV, replacing Sandra Vélez on the ‘Arriba Bogotá’ program and has progressively climbed the ranks within the network.
Citynoticias, another show under City TV, won ‘Best Regional or Local Newscast’, further cementing the network’s dominance at the event. “Our hard work and dedication are starting to pay off,” Pulido added, as her colleagues celebrated their collective triumphs.
Meanwhile, in the entertainment sector, Caracol Televisión launched its new show, ‘Yo me llamo Mini,’ featuring a fresh wave of children’s talent. The series allows young contestants to imitate their favorite artists in hopes of winning a grand prize of 500 million pesos. The opening episode saw tensions rise between judges Amparo Grisales and Aurelio Cheveroni, setting the tone for an exciting competition.
In sports, the longstanding rivalry between Millonarios and Atlético Nacional is set to reignite with an upcoming match at Nemesio Camacho El Campín on Sunday. Historically regarded as the most critical fixture in Colombian football, this matchup has intensified in recent years marked by previous finals and fan fervor.
Millonarios has faced challenges, including a drought of titles and ongoing administrative issues, yet hopes to reclaim glory with the return of key players Santiago Giordana, Juan Pablo Vargas, and Jader Valencia from injuries, along with Juan Carlos Pereira from suspension. “We’re ready to bring our best against Nacional,” stated Millonarios’ goalkeeper David González.
The passion surrounding these events resonates deeply within the Colombian populace, whether through the lens of television or on the football pitch.
