Clemson Basketball Game Against Florida State

CLEMSON, S.C. — The No. 19 Clemson Tigers are set to host a crucial Atlantic Coast Conference matchup against the Florida State Seminoles today at noon ET. Following a remarkable 48-hour period that saw them defeat both No. 2 North Carolina and FSU earlier this season, Clemson seeks to maintain their momentum in the league.

The Tigers (20-5, 12-2 ACC) achieved their 20th victory of the season with an impressive 85-65 win against the Tar Heels on Monday at Littlejohn Coliseum. This 20-point margin of victory tied for the largest against North Carolina in program history.

Viktor Lakhin led the Tigers with 22 points, while Chase Hunter added 19 and Jaeden Zackery contributed 16. Clemson’s win also marked a perfect 4-0 record against North Carolina, a significant feat for head coach Brad Brownell.

Florida State (15-9, 6-7 ACC) enters today’s clash aiming to build on recent success. After rallying from a 16-point deficit to defeat Wake Forest 72-70 earlier this week, the Seminoles are under the guidance of Leonard Hamilton, the longest-active coach in the ACC.

“This win is critical for us as we build towards the end of the season,” Hamilton stated. “We need to keep the energy high as we face a tough opponent in Clemson.”

Currently, Clemson sits at No. 29 in the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) rankings and stands at No. 26 in KenPom ratings, suggesting a solid NCAA Tournament projection. For reference, USA TODAY Sports forecasts the Tigers as a No. 7 seed in the upcoming tournament.

Adding context to the rivalry, this game marks the 87th matchup between Clemson and Florida State. Historically, FSU leads the series 46-40, but the Tigers have won five consecutive meetings.

Fans can tune in to the game on The CW Network starting at noon ET, with Tom Werme and John Henson providing play-by-play and analysis. Additionally, the game can be streamed on FUBO for new subscribers. Local radio coverage will feature Don Munson and Tim Bourret.

An exciting matchup awaits in Tallahassee, as Clemson aims to secure its sixth straight victory over the Seminoles while continuing to solidify its position in the ACC standings.
