CLEMSON, S.C. — The No. 23/19-ranked Clemson men’s basketball team is set to face off against Florida State in a key Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) matchup on Saturday, February 15, at 12:06 p.m. The game will take place on the road at Florida State’s Donald L. Tucker Center.
The Tigers, sporting a record of 20-5 and 12-2 in the ACC, are looking to complete a regular-season sweep of the Seminoles (15-9, 6-7 ACC). In their last meeting on January 9, Clemson secured a comfortable 77-57 victory at home, led by Chase Hunter‘s 25 points and Jaeden Zackery’s 15 points.
Clemson comes into this game as the favorite, with a projected line of -4.5 and a 70 percent win probability. The team’s success has been notable as they have won 11 of their last 13 games and are currently tied for second place in the ACC with Louisville, just one game behind the leaders.
The upcoming matchup is crucial for both teams. Since experiencing a four-game losing streak earlier in the season, Florida State has bounced back with two consecutive wins, defeating Notre Dame (67-60) and Wake Forest (72-70).
According to the latest statistics on team efficiency, Clemson holds a KenPom rating of 27, with an offensive efficiency ranking of 20 and defensive efficiency at 39. In comparison, Florida State ranks 78 overall, with offensive and defensive efficiencies of 111 and 54, respectively.
Clemson’s performance on the road has improved, and a victory at Florida State would clinch a winning road record in the ACC for the first time since the 1986-87 season when the Tigers, led by Horace Grant, finished with a 5-2 record in league play on the road.
“We’re looking to keep our momentum going,” said Clemson head coach Brad Brownell. “Every game is important at this stage of the season, and especially on the road against a tough team like Florida State.”
The game will be broadcast on The CW, with Tom Werme and John Henson providing commentary on television and Don Munson along with Tim Bourret on the radio.
In addition to their recent success, the Tigers have notable wins against some of the top programs in college basketball, including No. 4 Kentucky and No. 2 Duke, showcasing their capability to compete at the highest level.
Clemson’s ability to maintain this momentum will be pivotal as they work toward securing a favorable position heading into the final stretch of the season.
