Cleveland Cavaliers Defeat Los Angeles Clippers To End Winning Streak

Donovan Mitchell led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 118-108 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, ending the Clippers’ five-game winning streak. Mitchell contributed 28 points and 12 assists, while Jarrett Allen extended his double-double streak to 15 consecutive games with 20 points and 17 rebounds.

Isaac Okoro had a strong first half, scoring 17 points for the Cavaliers. Despite a late comeback attempt by the Clippers, the Cavs held them off and secured the win. Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 30 points, and Norman Powell added 18. However, Paul George struggled on offense, scoring only 13 points on 3 of 11 shooting before fouling out.

Evan Mobley made his return for the Cavaliers after a knee injury, contributing 10 points and nine rebounds in 21 minutes. Mobley’s return was followed by Caris LeVert hitting a step-back jumper before the end of the third quarter, giving the Cavs an 88-81 lead. The Clippers fought back, but Mitchell sealed the victory with an 18-foot jumper in the final minutes.

The Cavaliers, with a record of 10-1 since January 3rd, are starting to regain full strength with the return of Mobley and the expected return of Darius Garland after a jaw injury.

The Clippers will face the Washington Wizards next, while the Cavaliers will host the Detroit Pistons in their next game.
