Clippers Aim to Halt Losing Streak Against Struggling Jazz

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The Los Angeles Clippers (28-23) look to end a three-game losing streak Saturday as they host the Utah Jazz (12-38) at Intuit Dome. Tip-off is set for 10:30 p.m. ET.
The Clippers, who fell 119-112 to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, enter the matchup as heavy favorites despite their recent struggles. Los Angeles is favored by 17 points, with the over/under set at 224.5. Norman Powell paced the Clippers with 22 points in their last outing, while James Harden added 22 points and 8 assists.
Utah, meanwhile, is reeling after a 135-127 overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns on Friday. The Jazz have dropped 13 of their last 16 games, including 10 of their last 12. John Collins led Utah with 21 points, but both Collins (rest) and Walker Kessler (shoulder) are ruled out for Saturday’s game.
Despite their recent struggles, Utah has shown offensive consistency, scoring 127 or more points in back-to-back games. The Clippers, however, have allowed 115 or more points in four of their last five games, raising questions about their defensive resilience.
’Walker and John are both out, but we have depth on this team. Guys will step up and fill those roles,’ Jazz coach Will Hardy said. ’It’s about executed basketball and finding ways to compete.’
Clippers coach Tyronn Lue emphasized the importance of improving defensively. ’We need to get back to protecting our paint and controlling the glass. That’s where it starts for us.’
The game will air on KJZZ and FDSSC. Fans can also stream the matchup on platforms like Fubo, Max, and ESPN+.
