La Clippers Aging Roster

Los Angeles, California – The LA Clippers are facing a critical period as their championship window narrows. With star players Kawhi Leonard and James Harden nearing the end of their prime—Leonard turning 34 and Harden soon to be 36—the team struggles to build for the future.

Former Clippers superstar Blake Griffin addressed this issue in a recent interview, emphasizing the lack of resources for the team to effectively plan ahead. He noted how previous trades have diminished the team’s ability to draft new talent. ‘Unfortunately for them, they don’t really have a setup to build for the future,’ Griffin stated.

The Clippers also experienced significant challenges during the playoffs, particularly in securing rebounds, which contributed to their elimination against the Denver Nuggets. Griffin reflected on their performance, saying, ‘The championship window for the Clippers is so small; a lot of things have to happen. In the playoffs, you’re seeing that bigs are still very important.’

Despite individual performances, the Clippers failed to capitalize on crucial moments. Griffin pointed out the defensive issues during critical games, especially regarding rebounding. ‘The Clippers couldn’t get a rebound,’ he noted. ‘Zubac is a great center, but having centers that can play meaningful playoff minutes is still obviously very important.’

The Clippers must improve their rebounding and overall team performance to keep their championship hopes alive moving forward. Without significant changes, their opportunities for a title may vanish entirely.
