Jordan Miller Los Angeles Clippers Nba Action

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Los Angeles Clippers have signed Jordan Miller to a four-year, $8.3 million contract, promoting him from his two-way deal as the team restructures its roster ahead of the March 4 deadline. To clear a spot for Miller, the Clippers have waived forward MarJon Beauchamp.

Miller, drafted 48th overall by the Clippers in the 2023 NBA Draft, played limited minutes his rookie year, logging just 28 minutes in eight games. However, in the 2024-25 season, he has increased his production, averaging 4.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 12.4 minutes per game over 30 appearances. This strategic timing coincides with his approach to the 50-game limit imposed on two-way players.

Despite his modest contributions in the NBA, Miller has excelled in the G League, where he averaged 20.9 points per game last season, shooting 49.1% from the field. This season, his performance has further improved, as he is scoring 23.9 points per game on 50.9% shooting in just seven games for the San Diego Clippers.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Miller’s contract includes a salary of $1 million for the remainder of this season, pushing the Clippers slightly above the tax line. The final three years of the contract may not include guaranteed money, allowing the team flexibility moving forward.

Beauchamp, selected 24th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2022, struggled for consistent playing time, averaging 4.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 129 career games under 11.2 minutes per game. The Clippers acquired him in a trade with the Bucks, motivated by a need to avoid carrying any dead money into next season.

This move highlights the Clippers’ ongoing adjustments and strategic considerations as they look to optimize their roster for the current season and beyond.
