LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Singer Coco Jones turned heads at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday night, walking the red carpet in a stunning Chanel ensemble and flawless makeup. The R&B star, who won Best R&B Performance at last year’s ceremony, returned to the Grammys with a fresh sense of confidence and excitement.

“This time feels different,” Jones said. “I’m more excited than nervous. Probably because I won something already, ha! But I think [it is] also because I know how these events go and I’m excited.”

Jones collaborated with makeup artist Diana Shin to achieve her glamorous look, which centered on “sexy eyes and flawless skin.” Shin revealed that the key to Jones’ dewy yet matte finish was a combination of glowy foundation, finely milled powder, and light-reflecting products. “I like to build glow onto the high points of the face while keeping the center of the face matte,” Shin explained.

Jones, who admitted she loves dewy skin, emphasized her desire to “feel airbrushed like a Barbie doll.” Shin delivered with a two-coat application of Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir, ensuring each layer dried completely for maximum impact.

This year, Jones is nominated for her song “Here We Go (Uh Oh),” following her 2023 win for “ICU.” Reflecting on her preparation, Jones shared that sleep was her top priority. “My main priority was sleep, which is kind of hard during an event week like this,” she said.
