Indianapolis Colts Practice

The Indianapolis Colts are grappling with a string of injuries that have impacted their offensive lineup ahead of their upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans. Key players sat out of practice on Wednesday, raising concerns about their availability for the weekend matchup.

Among those who did not participate was wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., who is dealing with a back injury. According to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter, sources indicate that Pittman may be sidelined for several weeks, with the possibility of being placed on injured reserve being considered. Pittman currently leads the Colts with 22 receptions this season, and he ranks second on the team with 238 receiving yards, having also secured a touchdown reception.

Adding to the team’s woes, running back Jonathan Taylor also missed practice due to an ankle injury; he was absent from last Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars as well. Wide receiver Josh Downs, running back Trey Sermon, and right tackle Braden Smith were likewise not present, each nursing their respective injuries.

Quarterback Anthony Richardson, recovering from an oblique injury, returned to practice in a limited capacity and expressed optimism about playing against the Titans. “My oblique is feeling much better,” Richardson reported on Wednesday. Meanwhile, cornerback Kenny Moore and defensive end Kwity Paye were limited participants due to hip/shoulder and quad injuries, respectively.

Ryan Kelly, the team’s center, participated fully in practice despite a neck injury, providing some relief to the Colts’ otherwise strained roster. The team will need to monitor these injury concerns closely as they prepare for their upcoming challenge.
