Columbus Crew Vs. D.c. United Soccer Match

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Crew, holding an undefeated record, will match up against D.C. United today in a road game at Audi Field. Both teams enter the contest with differing fortunes; the Crew have struggled offensively, netting just six goals in five matches, while their last outing resulted in a shutout loss.

Despite their recent woes, Crew coach Wilfried Nancy remains supportive of his players. “When we have a bad game, I support my players,” Nancy stated. “Yes, we could have scored more goals, but the idea is not to work every day in front of the net. We have to size up the good moment to do it, we have to give them structure and allow them their own exercises.”

The Crew’s offense has produced six goals this season, with five of those coming in just one match. However, they have been shut out in two of their last three games, including a recent 2-0 defeat where the team registered 23 shot attempts but struggled to convert.

Columbus currently sits in sixth place in the MLS Eastern Conference with a record of 2-0-3. D.C. United, meanwhile, finds themselves further down the standings in 11th place with a 1-1-3 record. This matchup is critical for both teams as they look to improve their positions.

In related MLS standings, the top five teams in the Eastern Conference include Philadelphia Union, Charlotte FC, Inter Miami, Nashville SC, and Chicago Fire. Each of these teams has demonstrated strong performances in the early season.

The broadcast of the Crew versus D.C. United match will be available on Alt 105.7 FM in English and La Grande 103.1 FM for Spanish listeners. Commentary will be led by Chris Doran for the English broadcast and Juan Valladares for Spanish listeners. Fans can also follow the action via the iHeartRadio app.

Kickoff for the match is set for 7:30 p.m. today, and fans are eager to see if the Crew can break their scoring drought against a D.C. United team that poses its own set of challenges.
