CHICAGO, IllinoisCombo Breaker 2025 has officially begun, and this year’s event is larger than ever, drawing in thousands of players and fans to the Schaumburg Convention Center. The tournament started on May 24 and runs throughout the weekend, showcasing top-tier fighting game action.

This year, the competition features elite players from various titles, including Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The prizes are considerable, with multiple Esports World Cup spots up for grabs—four for Tekken 8, three for Fatal Fury, and two for Street Fighter 6.

Among the top competitors are renowned players such as WBG|MenaRD, Reject|Tokido, and LG|SonicFox. The event has attracted over 1,300 entrants for Street Fighter 6 alone, indicating its continued popularity in the competitive gaming community.

In addition to top-tier play, Combo Breaker also hosts an array of side tournaments, including favorites like Melty Blood Type Lumina and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. The Chicago Mystery Tournament, a unique event with more than 500 signups, is also a highlight of the weekend.

Live streaming is available across multiple platforms, ensuring fans worldwide can watch the thrilling matches. The winners from the current rounds include Zeta|Higuchi, DRX|Knee, and Reject|Tokido, who are well on their way through the bracket.
