Erica Ash, a talented comedian and actress known for her work on shows like Mad TV and Survivor’s Remorse, has sadly passed away at the age of 46. She died in Los Angeles after fighting cancer for a long time, as confirmed by her publicist.

Her family released a heartfelt statement, sharing how Erica was an amazing woman who brought joy and laughter to many. They highlighted her sharp wit and zest for life, mentioning that her memory would always live on in their hearts.

Ash made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her role as Gwen Sullivan in the drama In Contempt and as Mary Charles ‘M-Chuck’ Calloway on Survivor’s Remorse, where she starred alongside Jessie T. Usher.

Erica first caught the eye of audiences during her time on The Big Gay Sketch Show, which was created by Rosie O’Donnell. She also appeared in various films, including Scary Movie V and Uncle Drew, showcasing her versatility as an actress.

Born in Florida and raised in Atlanta, Erica studied medicine at Emory University before taking a leap of faith into the world of entertainment. She often joked about how her journey to success was like being the ‘Forrest Gump’ of her field.

In addition to her impressive TV and film credits, Erica worked on Broadway and was involved in songs and modeling during her youth. Friends and colleagues remembered her on social media, with Loni Love noting how dedicated she was to her craft.

As a lasting tribute, her family has requested that donations be made to breast cancer foundations in her memory, honoring the fight she bravely faced throughout her illness.
