Comedian Joe Lycett to Headline National Student Pride in London
Renowned comedian and television presenter Joe Lycett has been announced as the headline act for this year’s National Student Pride event in London. The UK’s largest LGBTQ+ student event, National Student Pride is entirely organized by students and aims to bring together over 2,000 attendees for a weekend filled with parties, panels, career fairs, and more.
During the event, Lycett will be in conversation with Suzi Ruffell, discussing his life and career. This interview, presented in partnership with Attitude Magazine, promises to offer insights into the comedian’s journey. Lycett, known for his political wit and viral PR stunts, has amassed a strong following with multiple headline tours and his live entertainment show, Late Night Lycett.
Notable personalities joining the main stage lineup include Tomara Thomas and Cara Melle from RuPaul's Drag Race UK, as well as Natasha Devon, host of ‘Queer Question Time‘ on LBC. The event will also feature a panel on LGBTQ+ TV and Film, headlined by renowned writer Russell T Davies.
Tia Kofi and Charlie Craggs will act as the hosts for the main stage. This exciting lineup aims to address significant topics facing LGBTQ+ students, providing a platform to discuss and explore their unique perspectives and challenges.

Prior to his appearance at National Student Pride, Joe Lycett is slated to feature in an episode of Michael McIntyre’s Big Show on BBC One, where he will partake in the hilarious ‘Send To All’ segment. With his eccentric style and humorous anecdotes, Lycett is known for involving his aunties, who gained fame through his show.
