Concacaf Gold Cup 2025 Draw Event

MIAMI, FL — Concacaf has announced that the official draw for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup will take place on April 10 at 7:00 PM ET. Scheduled as a live televised event, this draw precedes the 18th edition of the tournament, which will run from June 14 to July 6.

This year, the tournament will feature 16 men’s national teams, including 15 from the Concacaf region and a guest nation, Saudi Arabia. Notably, the final will mark the first time the Gold Cup Final is held in Texas, specifically in Houston.

As the region prepares for the FIFA World Cup 2026, the Gold Cup will serve as a competitive platform for the best teams in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. “The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup will provide a vital opportunity for fans and teams alike to engage with soccer as we look forward to the World Cup,” said Concacaf President Víctor Montagliani.

So far, eight national teams have secured their spots in the Gold Cup through the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League. These teams are Canada, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, and the United States. The remaining teams will qualify through the Gold Cup Preliminary Round, set for March 21 and 25.

The Prelims will feature 14 national teams competing in seven matchups. The winners will advance to the Gold Cup Group Stage. The match schedule for the Prelims details home-and-away matches, with junior-ranked teams hosting the first leg.

The draw will be conducted using a double-blind system and will include eight pots. Teams in Pots 1-4 will represent the national squads, while Pots 5-8 will contain group distinctions.

Once complete, the draw will see the defending champions Mexico pre-seeded into Group A, while the highest-ranked Concacaf teams will fill Groups B, C, and D respectively. This format aims to create multiple intriguing matchups throughout the tournament, which begins its Group Stage from June 14 to 24, followed by the Knockout Stage.

The Knockout Stage will commence with the Quarterfinals on June 28 and 29, the Semifinals on July 2, and the Final on July 6. “We are excited to see how the teams perform on this prestigious stage,” Montagliani added.
