YOKOHAMA, JapanXander Schauffele secured his first PGA Tour title since the 2024 Open Championship at the Baycurrent Classic, held at the Yokohama Country Club on October 12, 2025. Schauffele’s remarkable performance on Moving Day showcased his confidence, bolstered by his recent Ryder Cup experience.

Schauffele, a two-time major champion, finished the tournament with earnings of $1,314,000. Max Greyserman, who was vying for his first-ever Tour victory, placed second with $795,700. Michael Thorbjornsen rounded out the top three with earnings of $503,700.

The Baycurrent Classic featured a total purse of $8 million, making it the largest of the FedEx Cup Fall events. The tournament attracted notable players, including Hideki Matsuyama. This year’s event marked the first time the Yokohama Country Club hosted a PGA Tour event.

In addition to the competitive field, the tournament format included no cuts, ensuring that all 78 players would receive a paycheck. This year’s competitors were keen to take advantage of the increased purse compared to previous events like the Procore Championship and Sanderson Farms Championship.

The prize breakdown revealed significant financial incentives, with the full allocation listed for the top placements all the way through to the last spot. Players like Nico Echavarria and Justin Thomas also aimed for the top prizes, but Schauffele’s consistent play secured his victory.

Following the win, Schauffele expressed his excitement and gratitude for his performance, stating, “This win feels incredible, especially after building my confidence during the Ryder Cup.”

The tournament concluded with a strong showing from all players, reaffirming the competitive spirit and talent present in today’s golf.
